Mille Lacs Health System is a critical access facility with its main campus located in Onamia. There is a hospital, emergency room and urgent care center, long term care facility, memory care unit, and senior behavioral health unit. Our phenomenal providers (as well as visiting specialists) see patients at the clinic located there, and services such as Sleep Lab, Rehab, Cardiac Rehab, Surgery and Home Care/Hospice and Behavioral Health are also located at the facility. Other specialty services are available as well.
MLHS has ambulances in both Onamia and Isle. If you experience an emergency that calls for elevated critical evaluation and care, our Level IV Trauma center in Onamia is ready. We also utilize emergency helicopter services for medical transport to urban trauma centers.
MLHS is also committed to bringing health care to rural outlying areas, so there are clinics to the north, south, east and west of the main campus. The towns of Hillman, Garrison and Isle each have a clinic, and most are open on Saturday mornings. Chiropractic, rehab and psychological services are also offered at the Isle clinic. Garrison has its own pharmacy, and in the town of Milaca, there is a clinic specifically for chiropractic and rehab.
