Public hunting has been the dominant outdoor recreational use of the Mille Lacs WMA.
Located east off Highway 169 on County Road 20, south of Onamia.
Much of the area's attraction is due to the wide variety of bird and animal species found there.
61 square miles of wet, rocky land. Approximately 50 miles of roads and over 100 miles of access trails and firebreaks lace the area, allowing those who wish to observe wildlife to enjoy.
